So Much Gratitude

When I was organizing our new website, I was having trouble not overwhelming visitors with words as I always have so much to say. A small blog seemed to be what I needed to add. I will be trying, with good intentions, to post a blog at least every other week.

The first one is a no-brainer … gratitude. I am so grateful to all our friends and supporters who donated money, came to our outdoor sales, and braved the indoors during the holidays. Every small amount that you donated or bought has helped us keep our partners fed, healthy, and educated perhaps in novel ways.

We sent grant money for bi-weekly food boxes in Guatemala, small stipends for gas and electricity along with food baskets in Bali, small laptops, tablets and internet access in Ecuador, donations for some of our artisans, money for medical bills, partial teacher salaries in Guatemala, and so much more. While there was so much loss here in lives and livelihoods, these countries were experiencing the same with no safety net at all. It has been a heartbreaking time for the entire world.

Yet I felt such concern and compassion from our Global Goods community. I cannot thank you enough for this concern and outpouring of support. We always make a difference in the world with your help, but this time you helped to save lives.

With enormous gratitude,

Jacquie
