The Sharing Foundation was established in 1998 by my daughters’ pediatrician, Dr. Nancy Hendrie. Its mission is to help meet the physical, emotional, educational, and medical needs of orphaned and seriously disadvantaged children in Cambodia. It does that and more, with an orphanage, several schools, university scholarships, a vocational training program, safe water projects, and many other community development programs. When we visited in 2007, we were able to bring two cribs, books, and clothes for the children and to see firsthand what a very big difference one person can make. We help support these efforts financially as well as sell some of the unique items made in the sewing program and Cambodian markets.
